August is a weird month for fruits and veggies, it's basically the transition month between July (a.k.a fruit heaven) and September (the beginning of fall harvesting), therfore there isn't too many new fruits and veggies coming out :(
but there is one which has amazing beauty and health benefits....
Figs are sweet and full of nutrients for your skin! Figs (especially dried!) are very rich in vitamin K, fiber, and antioxidants.
Studies have shown that Vitamin K helps skin keep its elasticity, and may prevent wrinkles!
Like most fruits and veggies, figs also contain antioxidants which can prevent collagen from being destroyed and diseases (such as cancer!) from being created.
So I suggest you to eat a few figs or even plant a fig tree, for ageless and wrinkle free skin. Trust me you will be glad you did :)
