I hate cleaning makeup brushes. It's messy, boring, and time consuming...very time consuming. Not only do you have to wash the brushes (which takes forever) but you also have to dry them.
Which may take all day and all night *eye roll*
Some people blow dry their brushes, which does dry them quickly, but it does damage them in the long run.
I'll admit it, I've blown dry them a few times....fine like 75% of the time....
This method I'm about to share with you has completely changed my brush washing game, and I hope it changes yours :)
Remove excess water
Once you've washed the brushes, pat and lightly squeeze the bristles with a towel. This helps to remove any excess water left on the brush, which means quicker drying time.
If necessary shape the bristles
,Natural haired bristles (such as goat, sable, or squirrel) require shaping, while synthetic often does not.
Lay out a dish drying mat
This is the magic step. Place your brushes on a dish drying mat, such as this one. These mats absorb any wetness, from the brushes and make drying time so much quicker!
Blow dry/fan (if necessary)
Like I said before blow drying your brushes, can cause damage. So if it's absolutely necessary for you to speed up the drying time, make sure the blow dryer is on a cool setting and always blow dry in the direction of the bristles (for example downward). This will prevent the bristles from drying out, becoming loose, or being improperly shaped.
