Is it just me or do you feel that everyone has been feeling a bit down and negative this month? Between the natural disasters, political drama, security scares, and everything else that has been in the news lately...
I honestly feel like September has been a bad month.
Even though September kinda sucked, I did find some amazing new beauty products (which can brighten any month, haha!). So let's begin...
Instagram shows a lot of weird beauty "hacks"..
There are girls sucking shot glasses to get plumper lips some are using hot peppers to make perfect eyeliner wings...ouch.
Well I almost lost it when I saw a beauty guru using a silicone bra insert as a blending sponge. yes a bra insert. you read that correctly.
But then I thought about it, why are we wasting so much product by using sponges like the beauty blender?!
Before I knew it, I had ordered a four pack of silicone sponges from Amazon.
The sponges don't absorb any product, they make my makeup look smooth, and they are super affordable compared to other beauty sponges *cough beauty blender*
You might have read my last post, but if you haven't, it's about a dupe that I have found for Urban Decay's eye potion primer (a.k.a. the best eyeshadow primer on earth).
If you haven't read it, here's the post.
I'm trying to fill my home with more natural, cruelty free and environmentally friendly products. It's a big challenge, therefore I have decided to take it slow.
One by one I am throwing away "toxic" or "unnatural products". I'm starting with easy things like my body soap, laundry detergent, cleaning products, and slowly moving into more personal care Items like skincare and makeup.
This month I threw out my dial hand soap and switched to this grapefruit pomegranate from earthy spa, and I like it way more than any hand soap I have ever tried. It's more gentle to my hands and it doesn't feel so thick! I highly recommend!
I'll make this simple.
These are the best brushes I have ever tried.
My thoughts are with everyone who is impacted by all the hardships and misfortunes that have occurred this September. I have hope for the months and years ahead. If you enjoyed this post please subscribe above! Thank you so very much for reading, and as always I hope you have a fantastic day!
